100% human description! And this is a continued tribute to the golden age of Chinese and Taiwan pop. It was not a golden age only because of one greatest singer, and the same conditions that created the greatness of Teresa Teng existed for these other women as well. Basically, in such deprived, economic times, and back in the days when women had few opportunities, for a young woman then and there, it was either sing and be famous, or live in poverty and anonymity. This might relate somewhat to the experience of Black people in America decades ago, who literally could only gain real wealth and fame through sports or music. Luckily, things have changed for everyone, but back, then in Taiwan, if you couldn’t sing and be beautiful, it was a pretty rough life of poverty for a young woman. So these conditions were additional incentive to create the greatest singers in the Chinese language of that era, the Golden Age, In all respects by Miss Teresa Teng, but also by these, her rivals and industry friends. Please check and most sellers will sell a single album for the same price that I am selling these lots of albums. It’s a great opportunity, and most of this music has not ever been put on CD and will be lost if not preserved on vinyl. If we do not realize how important that is now, I promise we will someday. I had two priorities as a loving collector. One was CONDITION. You will find most of these items to be the best in the world in condition. Second was RARITY. Sometimes the excellent condition creates the rarity of an item, but also these are some of her very most rare items, and I do believe that at least 10 of the items on auction today have never been on eBay ever before, and never will be again. CONDITION: EX- to EX condition. So what is The Stylers sound? As you’ll hear on the albums, it’s hard to find them one way. Firstly, these guys know their instruments. Had they chosen classical music, they would have been masters in the orchestra. Secondly, they were so popular, that they were the only band or performer of their era that was able to create their very own record label. As you’ll see in the next listing. But, to try to define them, they take the surf guitar sound and electric organ (later they bought a Moog synthesizer and got awesome with it), and adapt it to pop music with a Chinese flavor, especially in the percussion, which will implement a modern rock drum set with traditional Asian percussion instruments. The “Blue Star” LP is a masterpiece of guitar and organ. Especially track two and three on side one (only three tracks on each side) absolute masterpieces of smooth rock guitar. Of course, I have an extra copy of that LP and keeping it until the death. It’s that good. I can’t overestimate how good they are, but they did produce a massive amount of music and not every song was good. So it’s nice to have a big lot like this and find the gems. About five dollars per record and even cheaper with combined shipping. No one can beat me. Good opportunity.
