Description
Strong VG Mono Lou Donaldson, Blues Walk, Blue Note BLP 1593. Solid, impressive 2nd press of this hard to find LP on heavy vinyl featuring Deep Groove, “RVG” stamped and “9M” hand-etched into run-out grooves, Plastylite “Ear,” and label with Blue Note Records Inc, 47 W 63rd, NYC address on both labels.
Vinyl: VG. Heavy vinyl looks VG- with many visible cosmetic scratches and a smudge on Side B, but none of these affect play. Vinyl plays more like VG. Some background noise in quieter passages, but this is minimal and never overtakes strong and clear RVG sound. Deep groove labels have some foxing and discoloration and some wear to center hole but nothing of significance. Great daily use copy for your listening pleasure. See photos for details.
Cover: VG+. Front cover is actually from the 1st pressing of this LP (address says Blue Note Records, 47 West 63rd St, New York 23 on back without "Inc") with bright original gloss though some slight discoloration toward the top. Back cover shows its age with some foxing and water staining, a small piece of tape on lower left corner, and a large vertical tear along right side, but otherwise is structurally sound and solidly intact without any seam splits.
LP will come in protective Mobile Fidelity archive-quality sleeve. Cover will come in thick vinyl protective sleeve.
