Description
For sale is Terry Allen & The Panhandle Mystery Band, originally released in 1980 by Fate Records. In the dead wax between the last track and the label are the matrix numbers A-1/B-1, indicating that a first stamper was used to make this record, often sought after by collectors and music lovers alike for their superior sound quality. I bought this new, and like all my albums, it was professionally cleaned on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put away into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the record. The lyric insert is Neart Mint. The cover is graded as VG+ because of a hint of ring wear, a corner crease, edge rubs and a small tear on the top seam. The spine has color loss from the edge rubs. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint. It's play graded as Near Mint too. Like all my records, it's been played on state-of-the-art audiophile equipment while I owned it. This is the best copy of this album that I have ever seen or heard and you would be hard pressed to find one in this condition. I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
