Description
You are bidding on the 1973 first pressing (SD 7259 Atlantic) of Terry Reid's masterpiece, River. This album draws comparisons to Tim Buckley's Blue Afternoon and Van Morrison's Astral Weeks. It runs deep. Terry almost became the lead singer of Led Zep once upon a time, you know. Dude can really sing and he's a hell of a lot less shrill than Plant...so less barking from neighborhood dogs. He's joined by talented blokes such as David Lindley, Willie Bobo, and Lee Miles on this. Produced by the legendary Tom Dowd.
I'm conservative with grading, so I judged the Vinyl as EX for Excellent. It has some scuffing on side one. Some would grade it NM, I'm sure. Still luminous, crisp and clean after all of these years. Only played a few times, as I also own a CD copy. The sleeve has corner wear and a little corner creasing. I tend to be a bit more descriptive with these listings because I'm using a not so high res. cellphone camera for the pics. Rest assured, this item is in fine form for its years. It has aged like a good single malt scotch. Smooth as one, too.
