Test Pressing – CAPITOL SP 8364 – TOCH: 3rd SYMPHONY – William STEINBERG
One single-sided stereo test pressing with white handwritten label (see photo). The first recording of Ernst Toch’s Third Symphony with William Steinberg conducting the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
Please note: there is no disc of the coupling (Hindemith’s Mathis der Maler).
The disc has an unplayed appearance; we have not played it. The commercial sleeve is excellent with some discolouration on rear.
N.B. This item is from the personal collection of a gentleman closely involved in the UK classical music business during the 1950s, 1960s & 1970s.
