Test Pressing – Philips – William PRIMROSE – WALTON: VIOLA CONCERTO / HINDEMITH
White-label test pressing made in England by Philips (see photos). William Primrose (viola) playing Walton’s Viola Concerto (with Sargent conducting the R.P.O.) and Hindemith’s Der Schwanendeher (with "Chamber Orchestra" conducted by Pritchard). There is no catalogue number or indication of the issue label. N.B. These works were issued by Columbia in their Masterworks series, catalogue number ML 4905.
The disc has an unplayed appearance; we have not played it. No outer sleeve; supplied in clean white inner and PVC sleeve with stiffener.
