Offered is a Columbia vinyl test pressing by the Washboard Rhythm Kings

entitled "Midnight Rhythm." This is matrix 265082-2 and the only

standard release was on a U.K. Columbia CB-626.


Taft Jordan is on trumpet and sings the vocal refrain, John Haughton

trombone, Ben Smith, Carl Wade, and Jerome Carrington are on

reeds, Clarence Profit piano, with Steve Washington on guitar and

washboard.


This was a New York City recording, done on March 8, 1933, and released in the U.K. only.


The single-sided disc is in excellent-minus (E-) condition and plays

terrific.
