Tex Morton with Sister Dorrie – You and My Old Guitar (The Original Tasman/Rodeo Recordings New Zealand 1949) (1981 Australian double 12” vinyl LP album released on Rodeo Records  L 45823/4) LP housed in gatefold sleeve showing penned date on rear in excellent condition with both LP’s excellent.  Tex Morton was a pioneer of New Zealand and Australian country and western music. During the 1930s and 1940s, he gradually incorporated Australian themes and motifs into some of the songs he wrote. This approach was followed by other Australian country artists who followed in his footsteps, such as Buddy Williams and Slim Dusty, leading to a particular genre of country music - the Australian bush ballad, which was also influenced by the turn-of-the-century poetry of Banjo Paterson and Henry Lawson.

The record has been played many times but shows no significant deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks. Sleeve has normal wear and tear without any major defects.

GOOD (G)

The record has been played enough that the sound quality has deteriorated noticeably and may have pops and skips. The sleeve may suffer from scuffs, spine splits, ring wear and/or discolouration.

CONDITION: This item is in excellent or mint condition unless stated above.
