Beautiful pressing of this insanely hard to find psychedelic rock and prog release.
Review from the fine DISCOGS web site: “This is such a great album. I picked this up with a blind eye, knowing of the album but never hearing any of the songs myself I decided to take the risk. Absolutely love it, so many styles and instrumentation goes on in every song. Really took me back to the feeling I get when getting into a new genre of music.. It's that good!
From the ALLMUSIC website: “One presumes that whoever was responsible for green-lighting this LP -- on a pretty big British label -- either didn't last long at his position or was in such favor at the company that he couldn't get fired no matter what impractical decisions he made. In short, records from the early progressive rock era don't get much stranger or uncommercial than this one. It's beyond bizarre. Note: Adam Lawson was later in Greenslade.
There is a histrionic cover of "Sunshine of Your Love." Yet the very next cut is a pop ballad. Next is a percussive instrumental with an African-meets-West Indies flavor; then there's a seeming, and again wildly incongruous, attempt to emulate Burt Bacharach's smooth late-'60s pop with "1,000 Miles Away.” By the time it's followed by a swinging jazzy flute-paced instrumental, "Blues for Two T's" (the best track on the album). As to who might have bought this record when it was released, that's anyone's guess.”
And from Forced Exposure: “The band wisely changed their name to just The Web after recording as John L. Watson & The Web. They recorded their first album called ‘Fully Interlocking’. This is the follow-up Theraphosa Blondi, and has some greatly listenable moments, showing a band deep into the current of post-pop progressive rock music."
