Gorgeous 5LP box set from the fabulous MOSAIC label - contains all Blue Note / United Artists / Roulette Recordings (1956-1960) by Thad Jones, including “Detroit - New York Junction” (Blue Note BLP-1513), “The Magnificent Thad Jones” (Blue Note BLP-1527), “The Magnificent Thad Jones Vol. 3 ” (Blue Note BLP-1546), “Motor City Scene” (United Artists UAS-5025), “The Birdland Story” (Roulette RB-2) and some other unreleased tracks which were later released on various format.

Stereo or Mono:

Disc 1 A-1 to Disc 4 A-1 in MONAURAL (Blue Note sessions).
Disc 4 A-2 to Disc 5 B-2 in STEREO (UA / Roulette sessions).

Only with very minor wear. Still in nice shape.

All five discs are in lovable condition. Looks and plays very clean.

Comes with 12 page booklet with detailed liner-notes and discography information.

Auditioning Environment:

Before I list LPs on eBay, I audition every LP (except sealed LPs and completely unplayed new LPs) on my turntable to determine sound quality and sound defects (such as cracking, popping and background noise).

Stereo LPs are auditioned with DENON DL-103R or Audio Technica AT-OC9 carts, while Mono LPs with Audio Technica AT-MONO3/LP or Ortofon CG25Di carts.
