The 21st Century Sound Movement (1968; D-12877) Album Mono Very Very Rare Signed Copy By All The Band Members.

21st Century Sound Movement didnt quite live up to their futuristic name, but their pile-driving interpretations of the hits of the day did anticipate the hard rock sound that hadnt yet reached Kansas City shores. An unearthly thunk brought eight-year-old Bill OMalley to the mouth of a garage on White Street in the Hickman Mills area of South K.C. He talked his way into the drum seat for a few songs, and turned out to be more proficient than the groups drummer. Brothers Terry (11) and Jack (12) Viles handling bass and guitar duties, respectively, and Ray Bahr took second guitar. In 1968, when OMalley was just entering Ruskin High School, the half-decade old group had upgraded to gigs at NCO clubs and other military base recreational stages, wearing matching outfits like their British Invasion idols and toting a slickly rehearsed set of covers. The following year, they took their hard-won Uncle Sam proceeds into Damon Studios on 14th Street and cut a full-length LP of their repertoire, running through it quickly under the bewildered eye of engineer Vic Damon. The slapdash results did manage to preserve the energy and enthusiasm of a 21st Century performance. Produced AtDamon Recording Studios D-12877

ATTN: All records I list are from my personal archive. They have been helved upright in a clean, cool dry environment. Attempts to capture a clear photo of the record condition has proved fruitless. *Album cover is in VG condition with very light ring wear signed by all the members of the band. There is a hand written note in ink to the recipient of this LP on front middle top and miscellaneous blue ink scribbling with KARALIUS in blue marker on back lower left corner. Record is in VG condition with some superficial light hairline scratches and scuffing on both sides. Sound quality is excellent with some slight surface noise. Playback is flawless. Labels are in G+ condition with some very light spindle marks. Paper inner sleeve is in G+ condition.
