Description
I am a 45 year collector of LPs and 45s. All of the LPs I have listed on eBay are from my personal collection.
Although Philips titled this second greatest hits LP of The 4 Seasons as their 2nd Vault of Golden Hits, 9 of the 12 tracks on this LP are their early hits on the Vee Jay label from 1962 and 1963. The other 3 tracks are from 1966.
Throughout 1963 Vee Jay was in great financial difficulty and after a legal dispute between Vee Jay and The 4 Seasons, due to non-payments of royalties, The 4 Seasons signed with Philips in January 1964. With that signing, Philips obtained the rights and the master tapes to The 4 Seasons Vee Jay recordings. The first greatest hits LP, released by Philips in December 1965, was titled The 4 Seasons Gold Vault of Hits and contained their hits from 1964 and 1965. This LP, The 4 Seasons 2nd Vault of Golden Hits was released in late 1966 and completes The 4 Seasons greatest hits compilations from 1962 - 1966.
This LP shows the high gloss of a new LP. The vinyl is flawless. This LP is a DJ copy; however, I can see no signs on the vinyl or the label that the LP has ever been played. I have never played it. I'm a mono guy and play my mono copy.
The jacket is VG+ due to storage wear on the front panel. The jacket is in excellent condition with no seam splits or tears in the slick. See the photos. A promotional copy stamp is on the reverse panel.
