The ALIBIS 45 Girls Girls Girls / I Still Feel Blue 1965 NYC Garage Boss D 002 The Alibis hailed from Astoria, Queens in NYC. Although promoted by producer Wes Farrell (who wrote for the Partridge Family) they never gained any national recognition, but fared well locally with many shows and playing for John V Lindsey's mayoral campaign. They were interviewed on many high profile local news journalists including Gabe Pressman. After a record deal failed to materialize they made this self produced 8 track recording and released the record themselves. Although they felt it to be a dismal failure it is a testament to the true garage spirit of the mid-60's and its slightly Beatlesque refrain a very catchy morsel from another era. Disc graded VG, has a slight heat warp but does not add any significant noise, surface noise is apparent throughout, several light scuffs and scratches but a truly rare record.
