Description

Up for auction is an extremely rare 1970 MONO promotional pressing of The Allman Brothers Band/Idlewild South. These mono issues were not available commercially and only pressed in very small numbers specifically for AM radio stations still broadcasting in monaural format. For a 51 year old record the vinyl is exceptionally clean and is visually graded as EX. There are a few paper scuffs on both sides of the vinyl and a few inconspicuous hairlines. The play grade for both sides is EX+/NM minus. The cover is pretty close to a solid VG with shelf ware, some seam splits, and some writing on the back. The real prize here is the condition and sound of the actual vinyl which is PHENOMENAL in mono format. (PLEASE SEE AND ZOOM IN ON PHOTOS).
