BRENDA HOLLOWAY!
Up for austion is the rare original MOTOWN classic 'The Artistry of Brenda Holloway' on Tamala Motown (Cat.# TML 11083), in fantastic condition. I am not a record dealer so I'll describe the condition the best I can.
The cover is in great condition, there are no marks or stains. There is the slightest gentle curved crease at the top right on the front, following the curve of the vinyl (exagerated in the photo due to the reflections of surroundings, sorry), and some very slight discolouration to the white rear. I personally have bought records in 'mint' condition that were nowhere near as clean as this! This copy has the original Motown/EMI advertising inner sleeve, also in great condition, just a small puncture to the paper.
The vinyl is very clean indeed and has hardly any marks. There are only two defects I can point out. One is a very small light scratch/scuff noticable on side one, that does not make any surface noise (the whole disc is pretty much devoid of even record sleeve scuffs!). The other is a the hint of a click about two to three grooves in on track one, side one. I had to play it a couple of times to check if it was actually a click. This really is only very subtle, I can't see anything on the disc, certainly no scratches or other marks, so a proper deep clean may clear it. If it didn't, it is hardly noticable anyway. This record plays extremely well with no significant surface noise. The labels are extremely clean, no writing or stickers, only a few light spindle marks.
I'm sorry if the description is a bit long winded, but this is rare record in such great condition I wanted to make clear its miniscule defects. It is tempting to say this is 'near mint' but I'm sure someone, somewhere would argue differently. It certainly is Ex +++. I've tried to mention everything, so there are no big disappointments for the lucky winning bidder. If you have any questions please feel free to ask!
