   For sale is a vinyl record by The Association titled "Insight Out", originally released in 1967 by Warner Brothers. This record has the original gold labels with  the "WB" shield logo at the top and "STEREO" in red at the bottom rim. These labels are the second variant, used between 1965-68, after which the green labels with the "W7" shield logo started. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks are the matrix numbers 1-A/1-K, followed by a lower case "o" and an upper case "T", signifying that this album was mastered at Columbia Records' Customatrix before early stampers were used to make this record at Columbia Records' pressing plant, located in Terre Haute, Indiana. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into an archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. There is no original inner sleeve with this release. The cover is graded as Excellent because of faint ring wear, edge rubs and corner blunts. The spine has color loss at one corner damaged by a blunt. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint, with surfaces that are shiny and bright, in a like new condition, without any surface scratches, sleeve marks, scuffs, smudges or spindle marks on the labels. I'm play grading it as Near Mint, with a pop on each side, otherwise without any surface noise, skips or lock-ups from start to finish. It's been played only on Audiophile equipment since I've owned it and still has a lot of life yet. This is still the best copy of this record that I've ever seen or heard and you would be hard pressed to find one in this condition, especially a first edition with the gold labels. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection. I have a lot more Folk records as well as albums of all different genres listed in my Ebay store. Please take a look.
