Description

What is it: The Astronauts - In Defence Of Compassion (Acid Stings ASR 15)
I know I have listed this as an Anarcho LP, but don't expect this (the band's fifth album from 1989 - I am selling their second elsewhere) to sound like Crass's Feeding of the 5000. Mark Astronaut is from Hitchin in Hertfordshire and was a fellow-traveller with the likes of Zounds and the Mob as well as being a figure on the free music scene. If all you like is Discharge, this may sound like hippy music. If you are more adventurous, this could be for you.

The record: EX - I would be amazed if it had been played more than once, but since I don't know that for sure, I will say that it is as good as perfect and grade it as EX.

The sleeve: EX- - There is a little mark on the front of the sleeve where it looks like it was once stuck to the record next to it (probably in a pile of identical Astronauts records). It is not perfect, but unless you have some kind of OCD issues about sleeves being pristine, this will cause you no problems.

Trust my gradings! I worked in the rarities department of a famous London record shop chain and I grade old school. If I say something is VG I am speaking Old School Record Collector grading - i.e. a record that has been very well looked after, not (as you see all the time on eBay) something that has been found in a lake. And I don't grade anything MINT unless I know it is unplayed.

I post everywhere, and my rates are fair. I will endeavour to send expensive things signed-for, and will provide proof of postage if necessary and help you hound the postal service if anything goes missing (hasn't happened to me yet - touch wood).

NB: I recycle packaging - it's cheap and (in environmental terms) it's the right thing to do.
