The Baroques were an American psychedelich rock band formed in Milwaukeem Wisconsin in 1966. The band reached regional success for their transition from garage rock to the psychedelic rock genre, and the controversary aroused from their single, "Mary Jane" . The single, "Mary Jane" both conceived of original material by Berkenhagen, In June 1967, the band released their debut single, "Mary Jane" b/w "Iowa, A Girl's Name", which was banned by locals radio stations within a week of release for perceived pro-drug references. In reality, there were no pro-drug references and, ironically, the A-side, "Mary Jane", was intended as an anti-drug statement. The controversy brought regional acclaim for the band, and they became known for their eccentric live performances. Following the banning of their single, the band released their only LP, The Baroques, which included the two songs from the single. The album became a regional hit, but the band was unable to branch out of state as their label was not well-known to distribute rock albums, let alone psychedelic rock. The band released this one studio album before its disbandment in 1968.

Albums are from my private collection since the 60's. They have been stored in vinyl sleeves and well kept over the years. The last time I sold was in 2002-03 and was very successful at that time. Hopefully you will enjoy the Lp's and the prices as well .
Near Mint (NM): This is highest grade assigned to opened, handled records. The vinyl is virtually flawless, bright and shiny. A very minor, barely visible scuff or two may be permitted, but no scratches. The disc should play with no audible noise. The label is bright, clean and unmarked.
Very Good Plus Plus (VG++) - Excellent (EX): Disc plays near perfectly, but may have minor paper scuffs that do not interfere with the sound quality. There can possibly be a hairline scratch or two but nothing that is obvious or affects play. Vinyl is bright and shiny; label is clean and unmarked.
Very Good Plus (VG+): Some visible surface wear, very minor scratches and scuffs, but minimal impact on the sound quality. Vinyl will still have good luster; labels may have minor imperfections (small labels or initials, etc.) but otherwise clean.
Very Good (VG): Vinyl will have noticeable scratches or scuffs that cause minor surface noise, but do not overpower the music. There will be no skips. Vinyl may appear somewhat dull and grayish. Labels may have small tears, tape marks, larger writing, etc. but still easily legible. There may be wear or deformation of the spindle hole.
