LITTLE DEUCE COUPE
Original Capitol 1963 Mono release in shrink wrap with hype sticker
that reads: "contains the smash-hit single
BE TRUE TO YOUR SCHOOL"
The dead wax trail-off on both sides contains the tiny triangle with
the words 'I' over 'AM' which would seem to indicate it was
pressed in Capitol's Scranton, PA plant.
The shrink wrap is nearly complete. Short pull-back in upper right corner
but not torn. Short push through in lower left corner where there's some rubbing.
The shrink in the lower right corner is slightly detached along the seam.
The lower right corner is slightly bent but not creased. Slight corner dings.
The vinyl is play graded:
Side one has some very light surface noise in the dead wax
between tracks. That's it. Side two plays generally the same
but the song, "Spirit of America" has a few pops.
Almost all records sold on ebay are rated visually. While this is a useful process for obvious flaws, such as scratches and rubs, it fails to detect hidden sound problems such as skips, pops and crackle. Crackle sounds somewhat like the sound frying bacon makes while cooking. The only way to accurately rate record quality, simply put, is to play it. I am a low volume seller and take the time to thoroughly test the sound quality of records. All records up for sale are play tested. I strive for accurate description of sound quality. Any record with excessive background noise is rejected and not offered for sale.
BE WARY OF SIGHT GRADED RECORDS Rating vinyl by visual inspection is a flawed process. Many times it results in an inflated grade.
All records are packaged in a commercial record mailer. Records are removed from the cover before packing to prevent seam splits during mailing. In the case of a single album, the record and cover are placed in a plastic sleeve. They are protected by the ample use of bubble wrap. If more than one album is won, the albums and records are tightly wrapped in cellophane to prevent shifting and are also protected by bubble wrap. The outside of the package is clearly stamped as 'FRAGILE' and 'DO NOT BEND'
Media mail shipping is $4.00 additional individual albums may be combined with minor additional shipping charges. Shipping discount up to 4 records. Additional record purchases will be packaged and charged separately with original mailing costs. This is due to limited record mailer depth.
You may return any album that does not play to your satisfaction. However, please email me with any problems you have in this regard before return. All albums must be returned in the time allotted and in the same condition and manner as they were shipped. This applies to individual LP's and lots. However, you may not split up lots for a partial refund. I will reimburse your purchase price and original mailing cost. Return mailing cost is the responsibility of the customer. I package records with great care and ship with delivery confirmation. I have shipped thousands of records without breakage or loss and the USPS does a great job with delivery
