Description
Up for your consideration:
A 1966 issue of the Beach Boys’ seminal LP PET SOUNDS
Capitol T 2458 MONO
Black Rainbow Label
No “a subsidiary of Capitol” around the perimeter of the label
“T1 2458 A”, “AB 9-66” and “9-27-66” are hand etched in the trail-off on side 1
“T2 2458 B”, “AB 9-66” and “9-27-66” are hand etched in the trail-off on side 2
“3 RIAA” is in the lower left corner of the back cover
The dates in the trail-off would suggest that it was pressed sometime after the original release date of 05/16/1966. However, there was only a limited quantity issued in the original run of this LP because Capitol was unsure of how it would be received.
Condition
Visually the vinyl maintains most of its original luster and earns a strong VG grade with some light handling marks. Played with strong fidelity with some occasional but infrequent audio interference; nothing that in any way interferes with the listening enjoyment of the record.
The cover is a VG+/VG++ with some very minor signs of wear in the top portion of the front cover (we don’t use EX grade). Nice tight spine; no tears or writing or seam splits.
Original Capitol records inner sleeve.
