Description
Very RARE in this condition -- absolute ORIGINAL stereo Capitol 1963 1st LP pressing -- The BEACH BOYS - Surfer Girl - 1963 Capitol Records USA - ST-1981 (stereo). ORIGINAL Capitol rainbow label (see photos) and stereo, which is rarer than the mono version of this album. And, despite many great sounding mono releases from this era, the stereo version of Surfer Girl is the MUST HEAR version, as it contains an excellent mix and has a better soundstage with better resolution, rather than the typical hard-pan left and right. I noticed how close-and-personal the sonics are; I imagine that this is as close to the master tape as you can get; the vocals show every nuance and have that breathy quality to them. You will not likely find a better sounding stereo version of this LP, anywhere, or see one this clean and well-taken care of! Vinyl is very close to Near Mint ...a couple of very light wispy hairline marks on side two ...plays beautifully ...still retains original glossy luster ...not likely played more than a handful of times during almost 50 years since its release! This came from a collector who took great care of his record albums, often times playing them once as he recorded them to reel-to-reel tape. Labels are clean (see photos). Includes the ORIGINAL Capitol inner sleeve that contains albums that pre-date this release by a couple of months or more (in excellent condition -- see photos). Actual LP has been transferred to an audiophile-quality protective inner sleeve. Jacket/cover is VG++ ...light ring wear, no edge wear, a couple of tiny pock marks (no stains, no writing -- see photos) -- very nice! Enclosed in a protective poly outer sleeve. Stored in a non-smoking environment. Please ask questions if you are unclear about this or any of my other auctions. Serious bidders only, please. Thank you. Shipping and careful packaging, including tracking is $4.00 to anyone in the continental USA. International bidders are welcome. If you are outside the continental USA please ask for a shipping quote. I can combine LPs and CDs to help save on shipping costs, so please wait for a shipping quote if you have won multiple titles. I prefer payments via PayPal. I will accept other forms of payment, if appropriate, at my discretion. Please see my feedback so that you can bid with confidence. I want you to be happy with your purchase!
