As a former Manager of one of the most popular music stores of the 1970's, PEACHES RECORDS & TAPES, I became a DEVOUT COLLECTOR  of ALL MUSIC related Items: Hundreds of PROMOTIONAL Posters--I had a talent to create award winning Promotional In-Store and Window Displays; therefore, I had ownership of un-used posters, album-art and memorabilia, (More than 3,000 Albums: many promos, autographed LP's, and a majority of sealed Lp's, hundreds of 45's--many promos and rare "Test Pressings," hundreds of concert tick-stubs, photos of myself with band members who regularly attended Promotional Parties at the sore, and other rare music memorabilia items make up our extensive collection.

99% of Our COLLECTION is in MINT condition; however, we'll grade Near Mint due to the 30-40 vintage years of our items. As collectors know, many Promotional ALBUMS are received from the various distributors before initial manufacturing runs; therefore, the promos may not be shrink-wrapped. As avid collectors, we immediately made sure that we covered all of our albums in protective plastic sleeves.
Also: Imports were often received open; however, the practice of receiving imports often included loosely sealed shrink-wrapped albums so that price stickers could be attached, as well as the already affixed Country of Origin "Import" Labels. 
WE WERE CAREFUL TO PROTECT OUR COLLECTION 
FOR MORE THAN 30-40YEARS.
