Description
Just recently I bought a massive collection of 60's and 70's LPs...some are in surprisingly immaculate condition, and some are not, but the original owner (a well-respected Australian vinyl hoarder) was a fastidious collector of the styles he loved - 60's punk/garage, British invasion well-knowns [Beatles/Hollies/Dave Clark 5/Gerry & The Pacemakers/Zombies/Troggs/etc..], 70's West Coast sounds, pop-psych and he'd obviously forraged far and wide since there's a flurry of unique South American, New Zealand,Taiwanese, South African, Japanese releases amongst them all.
Here then, is one of the LPs from his collection:

Thick card box, hinged at the top, made initially for the World Record Club in Britain, but this is one used in Germany and France as a mail-order-only item via Reader's Digest - each of the LP's has a sticker to that effect in its top left corner (also on box at top left too) - plus a Reader's Digest "Guarantee Of Quality" certificate - one side with French text, and the other with German text...
CONDITION:
OUTER BOX: (VG++)...has scuffing in the bottom right corner and on the bottom edge...has a split in the bottom left corner, with scuffing and minor tears along the hinged section at the back...plus minor foxing (light brown 'age-ing' spots) on the inside cover...none of these 'blemishes' are too drastic...there's also a tear in the inside edge of the box, at the front...
CERTIFICATE: (MINT)...
COVERS: (MINT)...yes!...all 8 LP covers (all shiny/glossy/laminated front and back) are perfectly MINT!!...the only hiccup with any of them is that the Reader's Digest sticker on the cover of LP#8 is creased and slightly torn (it's all there though - nothing missing)...
RECORDS: (MINT)...again, all 8 x LP's are perfectly mint...there is not one single spindle mark on ANY of the labels and they look completely untouched/unplayed!!...
LABELS: (as hinted at above, all 16 are MINT)...

PACKING:
Don’t worry - I'll pack anything you buy VERY CAREFULLY to make sure it arrives in EXACTLY the condition it left here. More specifically, in the way I'd like to receive parcels myself. VINYL: All LPs come packaged carefully in solid corrugated card packaging designed specifically for LPs, plus the LPs are housed in clear plastic sleeves. The record itself is ALWAYS removed from cover ( except for SEALED LPs) for shipping to prevent seam splitting, and placed alongside the LP cover (inside its own inner sleeve, OR in an extra sleeve to keep it secure) within the clear plastic sleeve, which is then sealed. Likewise 7" singles/EPs are packaged the same way too - well protected. POSTERS: All posters are rolled within outer protective paper that extends well beyond the actual length of the poster to avoid any crushing of the ends, and then packed in a very sturdy solid-card mailing tube - packed carefully to allow no room for any movement of the item inside.
WE MAIL OUT AT LEAST THREE TIMES A WEEK.
