Description

The BEATLES 

"HELLO, GOODBYE" b/w "I AM THE WALRUS" 

7" single...pressed in Australia...on Parlophone (distributed by E.M.I. [Australia] Ltd. here...catalogue number: A-8273)...first pressing!...

There were THREE label variations of this 45 issued here - and this is the first:

LABEL VARIATION #1: ...black labels, silver text...solid silver line around outer edge of label...to the left of the centre-hole, the NORTHERN SONGS 'logo' is in large thick bold letters. ALL wording is in upright/NON-italic text.

LABEL VARIATION #2: ......black labels, silver text...NO solid silver line around outer edge of label...to the left of the centre-hole, the NORTHERN SONGS 'logo' is in smaller upper-case letters. ALL wording is in upright/NON-italic text. 

LABEL VARIATION #3: ...from around mid-1980's...black labels, silver text...NO solid silver line around outer edge of label...catalogue number and matrix numbers have been move to the left of the centre-hole, and the Northern Songs publishers' credit has been moved next to the songwriters' credit. ALL wording is in upright/NON-italic text, except the band name which is large bold sloping text/italics.

Never in pic sleeve here...comes in its original (correct-design for 1967) Aussie Parlophone company sleeve...

CONDITION:

VINYL: ( VG[+] ) ...was once on a jukebox and has markings consistent with that, but they have virtually no effect on the sound...plays really well, with just some minor crackling...it's a great loud listen still...

LABELS: (Side One: EX- / Side Two: EX- ) ...the letter 'L' is written on the Side One label...and there's a name written on the Side Two label...but both are in blue biro on the black background so don't show up easily...
