Description
HELP! UK - 1st PRESSING - 1965
AUCTION ONLY - HIGHEST BID WINS - THANK YOU
Please note: Depending upon where you live, ebay might automatically add import duty to your winning bid.
If you are in a hurry, here is a quick summary: Disc delivers very good sound without any unwanted intrusions.
If you have more time, a detailed description follows, where you'll find my honest appraisal of every item but please bear in mind that vinyl records were bought to be played, not put away in a cupboard. I offer original Beatles U.K. pressings, now between fifty and sixty years old, in excellent, collectible condition but they have been played and therefore, will never be mint. Here is a rare opportunity to own a Factory Sample disc, with it's earliest, day one, 1G stamper codes
=====================================================================================
THE DISC
Matrices: 2/2 Stampers: 1-G / 1-GL
AUDIO - VG
Not much to fault here. There are no audible intrusions, not even a single 'pop' anywhere. There is some deterioration in the overall quality of sound but it is minimal and the tracks still deliver a great listening experience.
VISUALLY - VG/VG
The disc still retains a good gloss lustre, and although there are some surface lines, they are very light and only really noticeable against reflected light. There are no heavy lines or scuffs and, although not perfect, the disc looks much better than most original copies.
LABELS
E.M.I. did not issue any demonstration copies of this particular single, so this 'Factory Sample' disc is the closest you can ever get to one. First day issues of Help! came with 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd.' rim text, although it is thought that copies carrying 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd.' were also in production at the same time, as this was right on the crossover period.

THE SLEEVE - VG+
A genuine, company 1st issue. There are no seam splits, just age related creasing and a little rubbing. A nice example.

The photos are of the actual item. I always use professional, anti-static, cleaning fluid and listen to the whole disc. Professional mailers are always used.
I have more Beatles records listed right now, so please have a look.
