The BEATLES
"HEY JUDE" b/w "REVOLUTION"
7" single...pressed in Australia...on Apple (distributed by E.M.I. [Australia] Ltd. here...catalogue number: A-8493)...
LABEL DESIGN: There were at least 8 different Apple label designs (and two earlier Parlophone designs) for this 45 here in Australia, and I believe this unusual label-design pairing (read on below) to be the 4th Apple design...
For the sake of identification, let's call it 'Apple Label Variation #4' anyway:...it has the music publisher's name/logo (in lower case upright/non-italic lettering) between two lines to the left of the centre-hole, on the 'A' side only...and...again on the 'A' side only, the songwriting and production credits are in italic/sloping lettering (unlike Label Variation 2, the time, matrix number and speed are in upright/non-italic lettering. On the 'B' side, the publisher's name does NOT follow the pattern set by the 'A' side, as it's placed after the songwriters (below the song title), and ALL text is upright.
Released here on 19th Sept. 1968...
Never in pic sleeve here...comes in its original (correct-design for 1968/69) Aussie Apple company sleeve.

CONDITION:
COVER: ( ) ...
VINYL: ( VG ) ...has lots of shine still and no major marks or scratches..plays with some crackling...it also has some 'heat marks' and is slightly warped (but still plays perfectly on both turntables I have here)...the rarity of this Label Variation means it's well worth offering it here however...
LABELS: (Side One: MINT / Side Two: M- )...
