Description
Up for auction is a fine copy of the now quite rare half-speed mastered MFSL "Let It Be" by The Beatles. Released by Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs in the 1970s, it is to this day probably the best-sounding version out there. And in my experience, it sure appears to be one of the toughest Beatles MFSLs to find.
The LP itself is in next to perfect condition, and I rate it a strong NEAR MINT without reservations. There are no scratches, scuffs, or marks of any kind, and it looks as if it came off the assembly line yesterday. It also plays as smooth and as quiet as can be thanks to MFSL's use of the best-quality Japanese vinyl.
The jacket, although not near mint, is also in excellent condition. Being that it is a gatefold and a solid color, the flaws stand out more than they would on a similar LP. The gatefold is strong and intact and the spine is in no danger at all. The jacket shows some corner wear and minor edgewear. In the inner-right hand side of the gatefold, there is some separation along the bottom edge. This is visible from the photo and fairly minor. Despite this, I still rate the jacket VG+.
