The BEATLES - PLEASE PLEASE ME
A solid very good condition copy of this 1963 UK 5th press Beatles classic LP with glossy vinyl, original front-side laminated flipback outer sleeve, original inner, and very impressive MONO sound quality.

Increasingly rare and sought after 1963 UK MONO 5th press Beatles classic; very good plus (VG+) condition weighty and completely flat glossy vinyl still retaining a nice jet black sheen with some hairlines and very light scuff lines/marks on each side, only in evidence with close scrutiny under a bright light (though there is a slightly more visible 3cm line scuff on side 2) with all being non-feelable and appearing to be superficial; excellent (EX) condition labels with some very light and small spindle trails on each label and the "M", "T" and "K" tax codes embossed upon the side 2 label; very good (VG) condition front-side laminated original press flipback Ernest J. Day outer sleeve with firm edges & rigid spine, just a few tiny scuff marks and "nicks" on the bottom edge, some mild rubbing on each corner, some 1-2cm very light laminate creases adjacent and perpendicular to the front edges, and on the reverse side the vertical flipback is excellent but there are some light edge tears and a little creasing on the top flipback and a small stain (see photo) and a little creasing on the bottom flip back. There is a name written in biro towards the top right corner. All art work/colours, photos, and text remain nicely intact with great definition still. Very good plus (VG+) MONO sound quality with no skips, repeats, jumps, obvious clicks (there is a little very light rotational clicking at the very end of B3 which continues for about a minute into B4) or interference and just some occasional and very light background crackle during a few of the quieter moments and some of the intermissions - not sufficient to spoil the overall impressive tone and clarity, with every track still a great listen on this timeless Beatles classic.
Comes complete with excellent (EX) condition 1st press poly-lined "USE EMITEX" inner sleeve with a single 1cm side split on the left edge, minimal creasing/age discolouration and remaining fully functional.
A nice condition copy of this Beatles classic with the impressive MONO sound quality being the highlight.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
