Description
Just recently I bought a massive collection of 60's and 70's LPs...some are in surprisingly immaculate condition, and some are not, but the original owner (a well-respected Australian vinyl hoarder) was a fastidious collector of the styles he loved - 60's punk/garage, British invasion well-knowns [Beatles/Hollies/Dave Clark 5/Gerry & The Pacemakers/Zombies/Troggs/etc..], 70's West Coast sounds, pop-psych and he'd obviously forraged far and wide since there's a flurry of unique South American, New Zealand,Taiwanese, South African, Japanese releases amongst them all.
Here then, is one of the LPs from his collection:

ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING?: For the vinyl, yes, it is...it's the very first UK mono pressing...with black and gold 1950's-style labels...with all McCartney-Lennon compositions credited to the music publisher Dick James Music.
Matrix numbers:
Side 1: XEX 421-1N
Side 2: XEX 422-1N
The cover (made by Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd; flipback cover: laminated front, matt back), is the second cover from April '63 with Angus McBean photo credit moved slightly to the right, in the bottom right-hand corner of the front.
Still has its original polythene-lined 'Use Emitex' die-cut inner sleeve!

CONDITION:
COVER: ( VG )...has scuffed and dented corners; some flecks of laminate missing at lower right (tiny flecks)...edge creases and crinklkes...and on the back, some light stains, and a name written very lightly in the top left corner...
RECORD: ( G )...is heavily marked...lots of scratches, but most appear to be light or mid-range (even if they look otherwise), as when playing it all the way through, I heard many crackles and pops indeed, but the music is way louder, and the only skip on Side One was on "I Saw Her Standing There"...and just once only...and on Side Two, it skipped 3 times on "Love Me Do"...
LABELS: (Side One: VG / Side Two: VG- )...note tears and wear on Side Two label...
