Description
This copy of the Beatles 'Please please me' 1963 LP (PMC 1202), has the matrix numbers:
XEX 421-1N (SIDE 1)
XEX 422-1N (SIDE 2)
The vinyl is in at least an excellent condition, playing superbly well, with no strenuous deterioration of sound. ALL TRACKS PLAY CLEANLY, although there's a little surface noise, here and there. THERE ARE NO JUMPS WHATSOEVER.
Side 1 does have 3 surface lines but these do not affect the sound quality. Side 2 seems free of any wear, apart from the odd hairline. Again, the sound quality is beautiful and clear.
The label is overall very clean and clear but side 2 does have a slight sticker pull mark. The spindle holes show a little wear but nothing much. Please note:
THE LABELS HAVE THE "MADE IN Gt. BRITAIN" TEXT.
The record is housed in it's original Emitex tissue lined inner sleeve.
The cover is lovely.
Firstly, it has the "Printed and made by Earnest J. Day & Co. Ltd. London" credit, to the rear, bottom right. Later copies were credited to Garrod and Lofthouse. The front cover credits Angus Mcbean, for the group photograph.
There's a tiny bit of wear to each corner but the laminate is extremely clean and flat with no peeling or bubbling. The spine is flat, clear and square. There are no splits to the edges. The flipback is firmly fixed along the 3 sides.
There's a little marking to the back, right and a little staining UNDER the bottom, right of the flip but this is minimal.
THERE'S NO INSCRIPTIONS ANYWHERE AND NO RINGWEAR.
Overall, this classic album is in great shape and would grace any serious record collection.
