This is a true 1st pressing with its 2/2 matrices, which were quickly replaced by the more familiar 3/3 variant. Just like the 1st mono 1/1 pressings, these 1st stereo issues have a more pronounced 'loud cut' bass sound.

THE DISC: 2/2 matrix endings Stampers: 1/R 3/GL
EX: Audio is crystal clear. Even the easily damaged 'Michelle* plays without any of the usual distortion on the high notes, which is a common problem with this particular track. There is the odd dust 'pop' but the majority of tracks play without any audible issues. Being a stereo disc, there is some surface noise on the run-ins/outs but this is generally overpowered by the loudness of the songs. However, it is fairly noticeable at the end of 'Michelle' as the song begins to fade-out. This is still a lovely sounding copy without any significant problems.
VG+: A great looking copy which carries some expected light handling/needle lines and few very faint scuff-like marks, which are hard to see even against reflected light. None of these have any significant impact on the sound of the tracks. THE COVER:
VG-: A solid example made from thick card stock and without any major issues. It has aged toned. especially the unprotected back panel and the front displays perimeter wrinkles and crescent thumb bends. However, there is no laminate 'bubbling' and the spine has perfect lettering. It is just a bit tired looking, but all the seams are intact and the flip-backs are in good order.
THE INNER SLEEVE:
EX: Correct, rice paper lined, Made In England, Patents Applied For, issue. Mild creasing but otherwise in near perfect condition.
