The BEATLES. Rubber Soul. Parlophone PMC 1267.
Loud Cut MONO 1965 UK Pressing
Matrix side 1: XEX 579-1. (5 LO)
Matrix side 2: XEX 580-1. (3 HH)
‘KT’ embossed on side 2 label.
The VINYL sounds great, you can play this loud and enjoy the wonderful 1965 mono soundscape with relatively few crackles and clicks. ‘Michelle’ on side 1 has a few more noticeable clicks from a visible scratch across the track. There are a few other superficial markings on the LP but nothing untoward audio wise. The labels are generally clean with less than average spindle wear.
The inner sleeve is the original tracing paper lined EMITEX with a few creases but no rips and is a very nice example.
The Garrod & Lofthouse flipback cover does have a name and initials on the back, but these are quite small and discreet. The back cover does have a couple of stains, discolouring, handling wear and some edge wear where the record goes into the cover but overall it’s a very good example for nearly 60 years old.
