Description
Just recently I bought a massive collection of 60's and 70's LPs...some are in surprisingly immaculate condition, and some are not, but the original owner (a well-respected Australian vinyl hoarder) was a fastidious collector of the styles he loved - 60's punk/garage, British invasion well-knowns [Beatles/Hollies/Dave Clark 5/Gerry & The Pacemakers/Zombies/Troggs/etc..], 70's West Coast sounds, pop-psych and he'd obviously forraged far and wide since there's a flurry of unique South American, New Zealand, South African, Japanese releases amongst them all
Here then, is one of the LPs from his collection:

DATE OF RELEASE: 15th October 1964 .
PRESSED IN: USA .
ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING?: Of this specific release, it is actually...effectively it was a simple re-issue of Vee Jay's "Introducing The Beatles" (version 2, with "Please Please Me" and "Ask Me Why" in place of "PS I Love You" and "Love Me Do")...Vee Jay manufactured a new solid three-quarter-gatefold cover with a new catalogue number, but used the old LP complete with it's original catalogue number...this is one of those first issues..
CONDITION:
COVER: ( VG+[+] )...has edge and corner scuffs and other minor wear (all visiible in the pix - nothing hidden)...plus a small seam split at bottom right, and a crease from a bump in the top left corner...the date '1964' is written in thin black pen in the top right corner, just above Paul's head...see pix...
RECORD: ( VG )...has several marks, all of which are quite light except for a deeper one across two-thirds of "Ask Me Why", and it crackles and pops through that track - no jumps or skips though...
LABELS: (Side One: EX / Side Two: M- )...see pix...
