I'm not going to give a grading, as this is subjective and can vary according to expectations. Besides which, there are 30 tracks in total, ranging from very loud to very gentle. Instead I have given a detailed description of the audio and the visual appearance, which I think is far more helpful and accurate. It is unrealistic to expect old vinyl records not to have some audible issues but I tend to only list discs that I know are well above average condition. My feedback comments will bear this out.  _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Disc 1: Audio is about as good as you could reasonably expect from an original stereo disc. The run-ins/outs are near silent, with NO background crackle. The vinyl surfaces still display a wonderfully deep gloss appearance, with just the lightest of lines/marks, in keeping with a disc that has been carefully handled. There are minimal spindle trails which are quite light and hard to see, as in the close-up photos above. There are some very soft rotational 'ticks' on part of the track 'Dear Prudence', not helped by the fact that this is a gentle track but apart from a few random 'pops' here and there, all other tracks play without any appreciable problems.

Disc 2: Being from the same set, this disc is in similar overall condition to disc 1. There is just the odd, random 'pop' in a few places but nothing more.

The two discs are not mint but they look and sound pretty good, and are not easy to find in this condition. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Both sets of labels carry 'An E.M.I. Recording', and they have been incorrectly documented by some 'expert' websites as 2nd pressings. Labels both WITH and WITHOUT this information were present on all 1st pressings from the day of release, having been 'hand-set' on different machines. The incorrect labels, with this missing information, were simply withdrawn or subsequently, had the text added. It is not unusual to find original discs with mismatched side 1 and 2 labels showing both variations.

COVER: # 0348207 Although not perfect, this one has survived in reasonably good condition overall. It has age toned fairly evenly throughout, but there are wrinkles, bends and bumps. Please bear in mind that digital cameras always make the covers look fantastic and very white for some reason. ALL original 'White Albums' changed colour almost immediately, due to the pigment used; there are NO original covers that are pure white. The last photo is closer to its actual toning and is a true representation of how the majority of covers look; some a little lighter, some much darker but none that are snow white. Being a plain cover, it is prone to showing ever mark and imperfection, no matter how small.

BLACK SINGLE DIE-CUT INNERS: Made from soft paper, these have survived in remarkable condition and are unsplit. Almost impossible to find this good!

THE LYRICS POSTER: In great condition! There are no issues with this original copy.

THE 4 PHOTOS: These are in perfect condition and came with this set, but I believe that they might be from a later example, as the images are a little lighter in tone than I would expect to see.

THE PHOTO SPACER SHEET: Perfect but with a few fold lines.  To save time, the sets of photos were sent to retailers to insert into the album covers at the point of sale. They came in boxes and each set was separated by a thin sheet of paper which was then supposed to be discarded. It was probably more convenient and less wasteful for the retailer to simply pop them into the cover along with the photos.

The photos are of the actual item. I always use professional, anti-static, cleaning fluid and listen to the whole disc. Professional mailers are always used.

I may have more Beatles records listed right now, so please have a look.
