"White Album White Discs" DCM: direct metal master 1C 172-04 173/74
This item is a very rare German-import pressing of The Beatles’ White Album 2-LP set, originally released on Apple Records in 1973. This particular pressing is rare, however, for two reasons: first, it is pressed on white vinyl; and second, it is a DMM audiophile pressing. DMM stands for “Direct Metal Mastering”, a process whereby the groove is cut directly into copper metal, so that transient response is greatly improved. Stampers are then plated directly from the DMM copper master, eliminating two of the three plating steps required for pressing lacquers. In short, DMM yields better detail resolution and a lower noise ratio than the traditional LP pressing method.

This album comes in a numbered gatefold sleeve. The number is stamped in the front cover. Included are 4 one-sided 29x21 cm sheets with pictures of the musicians and a 12-page 12" sized booklet which can be open to a huge poster.
Direct Metal Mastering, the vinyl is white.
Eric Clapton uncredited for contractual reasons

On side 4, the song "Savoy Truffle" goes straight into the song "Cry Baby Cry" with no pause.
