Description
Up for auction here at NO RESERVE is "Yesterday and Today" by the Beatles on the Capitol label, catalog # ST 2553. This is the rarer Stereo incarnation of the highly collectible "Butcher cover" in its' second state with the paste-over "trunk cover" perfectly intact. The record is NM-/VG+ with a few very faint marks and plays beautifully.
The cover is VG with a 3 to 4 inch seam split at bottom right. The back cover has moderate to heavy ringwear. The front cover (the important part obviously) is very nice with very light ringwear and light overall wear. The cover slick was pasted over just slightly askew so you can see the gray of the "butcher cover" clearly at top left. Ringo's "V-neck" is also clearly visible just to the right of the trunk. I have included photos of the top left and top right with this second state cover above a NON-butcher cover to show you the difference in widths which is a result of the butcher covers being re-trimmed after having the new paste-over applied. The proper original inner sleeve (without any splits) is also included. Feel free to email with any questions.

Any package valued over $200 must also be shipped Priority Mail. Shipping via Priority Mail starts at $38 for a 4 lb. package (usually around 5 records).
