Description

The Ballads – ‘I Can’t See Your Love (For The Tears In My Eyes)’ Part I / ‘I Can’t See Your Love (For The Tears In My Eyes)’ Part II – Vee-Jay 714 d (USA)  

No introduction necessary. Originally on the tiny WEE label out of Oakland, this sublime West Coast dancer was picked up in 1966 by Chicago’s Vee-Jay label for national distribution. Sadly, Vee-Jay was on the skids at this time, and no chart action was forthcoming. Many fine releases on labels like Bay View, Venture and Music City followed, one of them, ‘God Bless Our Love’ even hitting the charts in 1968, but ‘I Can’t See Your Love’ most likely will always be the group’s most fondly remembered recording. Lovely copy; not entirely mint, but certainly not far from it.  

Condition: VG+ (please listen to the clips). Slightly worn labels (please see scans).
