Description

The Band  "Music From Big Pink"

This is a US vinyl pressing on Capitol SKAO-2955  from 1968.    This was their first album.  It has the second label variation, with the black label and colorband, plus "Subsidiary" in the rim print.    This may be much rarer than the original black labels without 'Subsidiary' in the rim print. The gatefold cover has a black border on the front and back.   

The Band is Robbie Robertson, Rick Danko, Richard Manuel, Garth Hudson, and Levon Helm.      This album was produced by John Simon.     The front cover artwork is by Bob Dylan.   The cover photographs are by Elliot Landy.    The album design is by Milton Glaser.        Four songs were written by Robbie Robertson.   One song was written by Bob Dylan.     One song was co-written by Bob Dylan and Richard Manuel.   One song was co-written by Bob Dylan and Rick Danko.       Richard Manuel wrote three songs.  

The songs are :  Tears Of Rage, To Kingdom Come, In A Station, Caledonia Mission, The Weight, We Can Talk, Long Black Veil, Chest Fever, Lonesome Suzie, This Wheels On Fire, and I Shall Be Released.   

  

Overall Condition is : Cover is M- /  Record is M-

The gatefold cover is Mint minus with no ring wear, no writing, and no seam splits.    There is very light edge wear.     The vinyl looks mint and it plays near mint.    The labels are clean with no spindle marks.  The record comes in the original plastic sleeve.
