For sale is a vinyl copy of Music From Big Pink, the debut album from The Band (Capitol, SKAO 2955).


This is the debut album from The Band and includes the hit song The Weight (Take a load off Fannie)!!

Ranked number 34 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time, this is an amazing collection of songs from the backing band of Bob Dylan during his 1966 tour - Dylan co-wrote three songs on this album.

Eric Clapton cites the album's roots rock style as what convinced him to quit Cream, and pursue the styles of Blind Faith, Delaney and Bonnie, Derek and the Dominos and his debut album. George Harrison was also impressed by the album's musicianship and sense of camaraderie!


As far as collector's grade quality for 1st edition pressings, this is a mid-range copy, pretty amazing for an album that's nearly 50 years old!



Vinyl is EX with very light wear, plays with hardly any surface noise!! Matrix Runnout # is SKAO 1 2955 F10 #4

Jacket is EX with very light storage wear which is light edge/corner wear, inside the gatefold there's a very small center split not seen from the outside.
