Description

The Last Waltz was a concert by the Canadian-American rock group The Band, held on American Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1976, at Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. The Last Waltz was advertised as The Band's "farewell concert appearance",[2] and the concert had The Band joined by more than a dozen special guests, including their previous employers Ronnie Hawkins and Bob Dylan, as well as Paul Butterfield, Bobby Charles, Eric Clapton, Neil Diamond, Emmylou Harris, Dr. John, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Ringo Starr, Muddy Waters, Ronnie Wood, and Neil Young. The musical director for the concert was The Band's original record producer, John Simon.
Vinyl is overall excellent. Most songs play near mint. Since this is a live album, some of the trail-ins (start of the record) have a slight bit of static which is typical with spoken word or introductions. In between songs are quiet. Side 1 and 3 have some light scuffs that do not affect sound. The cover is Structured single cover with embossed rectangle on the front and contains a 12 page booklet.  Cover is VG+, does not have splits, has a stain in upper right front. Cover has original price tag from the "montanus" (store where purchased).  Inner sleeves are yellow color to match the cover.  One sleeve has a small split in side.  The 12 page booklet is in excellent condition and has a saw cut at top right front.  Album will be shipped in a larger polyvinyl sleeve designed for thicker albums.
