The Barbarians
Some Background: The Barbarians were an American garage band of the 1960s with a few nationally charted hits. They had their biggest hit with the novelty single "Are You a Boy or Are You a Girl?".The Barbarians were formed in the summer of 1964 in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Provincetown, by original members Victor "Moulty" Moulton, Bruce Benson, Ronnie Enos, and Jerry Causi. Offering: The Barbarians INT 18027 France Import "Are You A Boy Or Are You A Girl?/ Suzy Q/ What The New Breed Say/ I've Got a Woman 1965 45 rpm -EP Used : original used -(see images above for full details) Format : 7 inch (S) Grading: cover / record :no sleeve Record Grades : *Fair/ Good minus (*obvious heavier handling wear & needs help to play through!) - Label : disques Voguel-Pressing : 18027 (France Import) Year : 1965 NO original sleeve (replacement)NOTE! We Played Both sides and the record plays but has multiple skips, & needs help to maintain continuous forward play. Specific skip spots Are as follows : #1 about 30 seconds into "Are You a Boy or Are You a Girl?"; #2 Multiple skips about 30-45 seconds into "What the new Breed Say"; #3 multiple skips about half way into song "Ive Got A Woman". Also, Occasional background " pops & hiss' of said vintage vinyl records! If you can "adjust" to these skips, aRARE record that is a Treat!!!
Record Grading Terms we use Defined
Record Grading Mint (M): New condition. Near Mint (NM): Nearly perfect, a record with no obvious signs of wear, a perfect sleeve with no more than the most minor defects and signs of slight handling. Very Good Plus (VG+): A very good plus record will show signs that it was played, but was taken good care of by the previous owner. Record surface may show slight signs of wear or minor scuffs that do not affect play. Picture sleeves may have slight wear, lightly turned up corners. Very Good (VG): A very good record will show groove wear and may have a few vinyl imperfections which will affect the sound. Picture sleeves will show slightly more wear with perhaps a frayed top edge, ring wear or seam breakdown. Good (G) / Good Plus (G+): A good record will show significant wear and /or scratches, but will play through without skipping. It will have considerable surface noise. Picture sleeves may have seam splits @ bottom & spines, tape, writing, ring wear, stickers and other defects that will start to overwhelm the item. A good or good plus item is usually acquired to fill a hole in a collection until a better copy comes along.!! COMPARE TO $700.00 in Nice Condition or more Elsewhere !!
