Description
The Beach Boys Pet Sounds
Capital/EMI 1966
The Beach Boys’ hugely influential 1966 album
Cover: Original 1st issue flipback Garrod and Lofthouse STEREO sleeve. Cover looks very nice to me- Laminated front is still shiny with minimal signs of storage or handling. Not too bad, particularly considering it is now 55 years old. Good white spine and the unlaminated rear does have age related handling marks, but displays nicely overall.
Vinyl: I do not know record grading, so I won't attempt it. The labels are clean with spindle marks/ wear around hole. Playing surface has rub marks and plenty of light marks, scratches and scuffs. I have not attempted to clean or play the record. Hard to get a good photo. Any specific questions- feel free to inquire and I will do my best. Inner sleeve is not original to record.
Genuine 1st UK stereo press (much rarer than its Mono counterpart)
black/silver Capitol label with rainbow rim and the dome logo at 9 o'clock
Garrod & Lofthouse: Patents Pending ''flipback'' sleeve.
Runout info: side 1: DT1 2458 - B20 side 2: DT2 2458 - A19
