Here is a lovely 1st UK Pressing of The Beach Boys' album.

I have given her a gentle ultrasonic clean, followed by a gentle vacuum clean and then listened to the whole of the album-I am very happy to report the audio was clean and clear and free from and jumps, skips or sticks....Utter quality.

The Vinyl:

Visually there are many light marks, but these did not make the record skip, stick or jump on playback, which remained clear and dynamic throughout.

Yes, there are occasional light background pops-but nothing to ruin my enjoyment of listening-It simply reminded me I am listening to a MONO analogue audio reproduction and not a stifled and compressed digital file.

Still sounds great but is far from mint! Does play back with some crackle-but not overtly offensive-saying that, I would use this baby as a very 1st pressing filler.

Slight wobble when playing side 1, but not evident when playing side 2.

On track 1, side 1, right at the end of the track, if my needle was on a very light setting there was a micro skip...BUT with a slight adjustment of the weight of the arm, she played over this (repeatedly) without a problem.

I have included a clip of the transition from track 2, side 2 into track 3, side 2 so you can hear the bit of gentle background crackle for yourselves...You can easily still pick out the lovely harmonies The Beach Boys were very well known for :)

Even the run-outs are nice and quiet with just faint crackle.

As you can see in the detailed images-they remain vibrant in colour but do have some minor central hole wear.

The Cover:

Good solid original 1st issue cover with the small MONO to the top right corner. She has survived incredibly well and only displays some storage wear and some patches of dirt to the back card, as well as a small name to the top left corner-see if you can spot it in the detailed images provided..?..

The front laminate has some lines and crescents of spidering to the front laminate.

ORIGINAL EMI advertising inner in black and white which advertises The Beatles’ Revolver and the Yardbirds’ Roger The Engineer!

In great condition, with just a small split of around 2cm to the bottom seam.

It has the rarer text: “PATENTS APPLIED FOR” to the bottom of one side.

NO WRITING either.

A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO GRAB A PIECE OF HISTORY WHICH IS ALL COMPLETE AND ORIGINAL, AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE-A SLAB OF VINYL OF WHICH YOU CAN PLAY AND A COVER WHICH WOULD LOOK GREAT ON A WALL TOO.
