The Beach Boys Pet Sounds 1966 1st UK press mono LP Capitol Records T2458 VG/VG.
Rare original 1st UK Pressing with matrix numbers T1 2458-1/T2-2458-1 on rainbow rim label. KT tax code, mothers/stampers are 1/R and 1/GR
The vinyl looks dreadful with lots and lots of light scuffs and marks. Visually it grades G- at best. However I have played this through and it actually plays VG throughout. No skips or jumps, nasty clicks. It has a few light pops here and there and some background crackle throughout, most obvious in the quiet passages and spaces between tracks. It doesn’t overpower the music at all. I still really enjoyed listening to it to be honest, and whilst it does have noticeable deterioration of sound, it really sounds okay.
Sleeve is VG with creases and a bit grubby but no splits, tears or writing etc. Overall it’s really not too bad.
