Description
Album: Pet Sounds
Artist: The Beach Boys
Label / Catalog: Capitol T-2458 (mono)
Plant: IAM (Scranton, PA)
Matrix: T2-2458-F19 IAM (Side 2)
Era: Original U.S. 1966 mono pressing
Mono (T-2458) is the most sought-after configuration of Pet Sounds.
IAM stamp confirms the Scranton plant, consistent with first-issue distribution.
A later F-series lacquer (F19) is still considered an original-era cut; value hinges more on condition than the exact lacquer suffix.
Condition assessment (from photos)
Vinyl: Strong gloss with light hairlines only → VG
Cover: Noticeable edge wear, corner softening, ring wear, and a punch hole → VG
Overall: VG / VG+ (cover / vinyl)
