Description

The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds

(Capitol T2458 UK LP 1966)

This is a UK original Mono LP pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve which has a small sized "Mono" on the front. It comes with its original company plain paper inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has "rainbow rim" Capitol labels. These have the "Sold in UK..." text on them. The record has 1st press T1-2458-1 and T2-2458-1 matrix stampers. A genuine UK Mono 1st pressing of this classic mid 1960's LP.

Sleeve: There is mild, more moderate to considerable rubbing wear at the sleeve opening edges. There is a very small 0.5 cm tear at the front sleeve opening. There is mild to more moderate fading to the "white" of the sleeve. There is light, mild or very mild staining, here & there, on the rear sleeve too. There is a 2 cm area of moderate rubbing wear at the centre of the top edge. Overall, Good++ condition

Vinyl: There are some mild, more moderate to moderate sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There are about 7 or 8 light hairline surface marks. These measure from 1 cm to 9 cm in length. Overall, Good condition. The labels are in very good condition & show moderate spindle wear. The company paper inner sleeve is in Good+ condition. There is an 8 cm and 6 cm seam split at the centre of the sides. There is mild ringwear and more moderate fading.

I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Very Good overall & Very Good+ in some places. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in the background to a varying degree. This only really notices in the quieter places. There are a few areas of more moderate crackle. There are 4 or 5 light or very mild clicks on one track on Side 1. There are a few light clicks on a couple of separate tracks on Side 2.
