100% Original 1966 Mono Scranton First Pressing in VG+/VG++ condition..
As mentioned above,
This is an absolute holy grail for fans of mid-century pop masterpiece history. This is a spectacular, completely original 1960s mono pressing of The Beach Boys' 1966 album, Pet Sounds (Capitol Records, T 2458) manufactured at the legendary Scranton, Pennsylvania plant.
The Vinyl is VG++; just a couple light superficial non-feelable scuffs on an otherwise Excellent deep black gloss vinyl..Labels are near perfect, nice bright colors still.show almost no wear around the spindle holes...this LP looks lightly played and well cared-for..Cover is VG+, has the some light shelf/ring/edge wear and a corner bump, but very solid with a good spine..includes original Capitol ‘66 inner sleeve..all in all, a great copy!
Most original 1966 copies of Pet Sounds were played to death on heavy vintage turntables or left out of their sleeves. This particular record comes from a single-family estate where it sat safely protected in climate-controlled storage for over half a century..
