Hello there and welcome to my auction. Please read my descriptions carefully before you bid. Please make sure you read everything especially the condition of each vinyl. The grading and criteria are below.

 

 

This is an auction for:  The Beach Boys – Pet Sounds – Original USA Vinyl LP album 1966.



Original 1966 USA Pressing.
Duophonic Stereo
  • Matrix / Runout (Side A runout stamp variant 1): DT1-2458-A17
  • Matrix / Runout (Side B runout etching variant 1): DT-2-2458-A-13

Vinyl Condition: G (Record has surface marks, scuffs and does have some feelable needle scratches in a few places but these are fairly superficial and the record really does play so much better than it looks. There is some light crackle and some clicks and pops in places but no sticks or jumps. Nice sound. Overall there are scratches which cause a few clicks but nothing awful at all. Great album and priced to reflect condition).

 

Inner Sleeve Condition: VG (Original Capitol company inner is very nice with no splits). 

 


Outer Sleeve Condition: Fair/Good (Sleeve has edge splits to the top and bottom corners and edges. Bottom right corner has an approx 5cm split along the edge. Top left corner has an approx 7cm split along the edge. There is an appro 5cm split to the front by the top edge. There are some pen marks in places. There are several pen marks to the "The" on the front and some small pen marks to the back. Overall sleeve has some signs of age but it decent overall).

 

 

I grade my records as follows:

 

M = Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Unplayed and sealed records are referred to as Mint.

Ex = Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have minimal wear and/or creasing.

VG = Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects.

G = Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

Fair = The record shows signs of extensive play and may have many marks and deep scratches but will still play ok but with significantly lower sound quality. Artwork will be rather worn with possible splits, small rips, scrapes, dents, or maybe water damage.
