Description

The Beach Boys Sunflower 2016 Reissue 200g Vinyl Remastered Gatefold EX/NM.


For auction is an excellent listeners copy of Sunflower by the Beach Boys, their sixteenth album released in August 1970. Although it was well received by critics it did not sell well and only reached #151 on the Billboard 200. Despite this, It is considered by many fans to be their best post Pet Sounds album and has appeared on many best of lists. The song “All I Wanna Do” is now viewed as one of the earliest examples of dream pop and a pioneering recording in the sub-genre of alternative rock. This copy is a 2015 mono reissue that was pressed on 200 gram vinyl by Quality Record Pressings and released by Analogue Productions with labels designed similar to the original Reprise/Brothers Records release.


Vinyl is play graded EX. A couple of light visible surface marks that are purely superficial. Small spindle marks on both sides. Plays with no background noise, skips or jumps. Flawless but not sealed (Mint) and I was not original owner (NM) and do not known the extent of its play history. Sounds amazing! Please see pics.


Gatefold cover is in NM condition. In original clear bag with hype sticker. No signs of shelf wear. Looks perfect! Please see pics.
