Description
Artist: The Beach Boys Titles: Surfin' U.S.A. / Same Label: Capitol (released as 3924, and promo copies as P-3924) Condition: NM-
Notes: This is a white label test pressing, with just the title and artist written on one side only. The B side label has no writing but it contains the same song as the A side, both in mono. These types of test pressings were usually used to determine a quality check to make sure the pressing was good. Sometimes they would also send copies to the artists themselves or to radio stations to promote the song ahead of getting actual promotional or stock copies pressed up, making them the true first run of any given single. This is a rare one. This is from the 1974 issue of this record, trying to promote it to radio again to make it a hit to sell the Endless Summer compilation. These test pressings do not come up for sale often.
Shipping: In the U.S. the postage for the first 4 45's is $5 and then 50 cents for each additional 45 after that. In Canada, the postage for the first 2 45's is $11, and then $1 for each additional 45 after that. Internationally, the postage for the first 2 45's is $17, and then $1 per for 45 after that.
